Ventura Classified Employees Association

Who is VCEA?

The Ventura Classified Employees Association (VCEA) was formed during the 1984-1985 school year by a group of classified employees who were interested in organizing to provide the best collective voice possible in working with the Ventura Unified School District.
In 1985, with the assistance of many dedicated employees, our sister association, the Ventura Unified Education Association (VUEA), the National Education Association (NEA) and the Public Employees Relations Board (PERB), an election was held that created the Ventura Classified Employees Association and made it the voice of all classified employees in the district. Since that time, we are now a full member of our State organization, the California Teacher’s Association (CTA) as well.

We are always looking for members to participate on the Executive Board, as a Site Rep. or a member of one of our many committees. It takes all of our members to keep our association strong and protect our legal rights to bargain what is in the best interest of all of our members. The Ventura Classified Employees Association represents over 750+ members. We have one of the largest Classified Employees associations in the State of California!
The strong dedication continues today with the current President, Executive Officers, Directors as well as our Site Representatives. We are determined to keep up with the tradition of vigorously pursuing the best interest of those it represents- Our members!

Sincerely,
Teri Roots, President VCEA
